| Friends of Weedon Island, Inc. The Friends of Weedon Island, Inc. is a non-profit organization established in 1992 to engage in the conservation and protection of the Weedon Island Preserve. The Friends hold annual membership meetings in May and bi-monthly board meetings at the Center. The mission of the Friends of Weedon Island, Inc. is to promote the public's understanding of maintaining the Weedon Island Preserve as an important ecological and cultural resource.
