| Paddling Launches Two canoe/kayak launch sites are available to local paddlers. The first is located along San Martin Boulevard at the entrance to the North Paddling Trail. Only parking is offered at this site. |

NOTE: Due
to construction associated with improvements to Progress
Energy's Bartow Power Plant, the North Paddling Trail's launch site is temporarily unavailable. |

The second canoe/kayak launch is adjacent to the fishing pier at the end of Weedon Drive NE. The South Paddling Trail is accessible from this launch site. Restrooms and a canoe washing station are also located here. Click here to learn more about paddling opportunities at Weedon Island Preserve. Canoe/Kayak rentals are also available.
