K-12 Curriculum
The Southwest Florida Water Management District assisted
Pinellas County in developing a K-12 curriculum that addresses the structure and components of the Tampa Bay estuary using
coastal ecosystems of Weedon Island Preserve as study sites.
Students learn to appreciate the interconnections of people
with their environment. Specifically, these programs include:

"The Islands and the Estuary" and "The Islands and the People"
